A lucky lady playing bingo in her local Gala club in Irvine has won herself a massive £247,364.05 on the clubs high Five Game. Not only was this grandmother laughing all the way to the bank but all the members at the club that were playing bingo when she won saw their bank balances increase by £1,126.69 as well. The High Five game paid out a whopping £468,728.11 with all the players getting a share of half the jackpot. Duty Manager of the Gala Bingo hall, Sandra Mullen, said “Originally not many members like the High 5 game now I don’t think we have any members that don’t buy a ticket. This win is the biggest to date in our club”. Gala Bingo are withdrawing all their land based bingo clubs from the National Bingo Game from 1st September to concentrate on the High 5 Game. Here is how the High 5 game works - Basically it’s a link game throughout all the Gala Bingo clubs and the jackpot if not won just keeps getting bigger and bigger. If a player calls bingo on a number that ends in a 5 i.e. 5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85 then they get half of the bingo jackpot whilst the other half is shared amongst all the bingo players in the club.
